Ponce de Leon, The first Spanish arrived in 1513 on the present-day United States on the Florida peninsula & returned in 1520 for further exploration. By 1565, they had established their permanent colony in San Agustin in Florida under the leadership of Pedro de Viles Between 1520 to 1569 the Spanish vigorously explored the coast of Atlantic, with Specific exploration taking place in Carolinas, Virginia and along the New England coast & attempted to exert further influence in the southeast with the 1764 purchase of greater Louisiana from France and though this territory was later resold.

Spanish is the 2nd most spoken language in the USA. Millions of students and Hispanic and Latino Americans speak Spanish as a native or second language and together this makes the USA 2nd largest Hispanic and Latino Americans country in the world after Mexico.

Mexico and USA are having more Spanish-speakers than Spain and Most of the Latin American countries.

Most of the people of Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Florida, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and California speak Spanish as a primary language & also speak English very well.
